Managing the Perennial Garden
Coaching for clients
Service Description
Perennial gardens can be lower maintenance than planting annual flowers every season. However, until your perennial garden is well-established (this can take 2-4 growing seasons), managing your garden is necessary to ensure healthy plants. Coaching sessions focus on client goals. Some focus areas include: ~how to identify invasive species and remove or manage these "weeds" ~how to identify new growth of intentionally planted perennials ~how to use ecofriendly mulching methods to suppress weed regrowth ~pruning techniques to keep your shrubs and trees healthy ~how to divide perennials to maintain aesthetic beauty and support healthy plants We love coaching clients on ways to improve soil health and maintain intentional design with perennials. We recommend strategies with minimal soil disturbance and limited or no use of herbicides.
