Meet Bethany Keller

Abundant Botanicals Collective was born out of my passion for connecting with the natural world and creating community starting with deep roots in Webster Groves at my demonstration garden and micro-nursery.

My story started in a little house at the foot of a towering sycamore in the Deer Creek watershed in Saint Louis, Missouri.

An all-around herb-nerd, mama, teacher, grower, mentor ... I am happiest in the forest or near the water ... or when I'm growing something good.

My Story

At the heart of Abundant Botanicals Collective, I focus on community-building to inspire clients like YOU to connect your own green space with local, regional and global efforts to grow native and restore our ecosystems.

By focusing on interconnection, I invite clients into a personal relationship with the natural world.

I am a lifelong intercultural educator with experience teaching, training and mentoring. I build bridges and create community to help people connect with one another around shared values and experiences and expand our knowledge of one another through respectful cultural exchange. As any interculturalist will tell you, personal growth often comes from the fertile ground of challenge and stepping outside one's comfort zone. Well, quitting my day job in the middle of a global pandemic was definitely that!

When the world shut down in 2020, I transitioned out of the 9-5 hustle into consulting, teaching and community service. Focusing on health and family during the pandemic, I joined every webinar I could find to learn more about native plants and ecological design. This strange and difficult time brought forth a creative vision for transforming our yards, patios and porches into wildlife habitats and edible landscapes that feed body, mind and spirit.

I started this Collective to offer clients a customized consultation process to dream big. I intentionally strive to co-create sustainable outdoor spaces that inspire moments of presence - slowing down in this fast-paced world to experience the natural world right outside our doors.

My designs focus on growing plants to feed our bodies with fresh food through greater connection with the changing seasons. At the foundation of all my naturescaping designs is a profound respect for our place in the food webs in our ecosystems.

I truly love teaching clients how to dream big sustainable gardening dreams and create a closer relationship with the watersheds and land we inhabit together. Let's grow together!
